Accreditation

The National Police Chiefs’ Council ​(NPCC) in partnership with UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) has chosen 快播视频 as one of nine Policing Academic Centres of Excellence (P-ACEs).

Our work has been recognised by the (EPSRC) and the (NPCC) as one of the first nine Policing Academic Centres of Excellence (P-ACE) in the UK.

The scheme aims to ensure

  • mobilise, showcase and make accessible to policing key insights, findings and outputs from their work
  • respond to the evidence needs, questions and problems raised by policing and work with policing to co-develop new research and knowledge exchange activities

Each P-ACE will support policing by:

  • adopting new technologies
  • developing new tools and techniques
  • improving training and skills
  • increasing public safety

Centre Lead

The P-ACE is led by Professor Mark Levine who is a Professor of Social Psychology. L-PACE aims to fostering new relationships between academics and police forces, providing practical solutions to current policing problems, sparking new ideas that can be built into more substantial projects. The team aims to increase the number and range of academics involved in police ARI projects and tackling the policing skills and recruitment gap by creating a pathway for students consider a career in data related policing.
