ULT Labs

Ultra-Low Temperature facilities at 快播视频

An academic working on a ULT fridge

快播视频 our ULT Labs

The 快播视频 Ultra-Low Temperature Laboratories have a globally recognised reputation for performing experiments at the lowest reachable temperatures. We attained several world records, including the coldest 3He-4He dilution refrigerator (1.6 mK), for cooling quantum liquids to the 50 μK regime and for cooling electronic nano-samples to 1 mK. To achieve the lowest temperatures, we design and build our own cooling machines, using technology refined over decades.

We currently run a suite of four 快播视频-designed large-scale dilution refrigerators equipped with adiabatic demagnetisation stages with microkelvin performance and three pulse-tube-based commercial dilution refrigerators cooling below ten millikelvin
