PJ Harvey will join Paul Muldoon on stage at the Nuffield Theatre, 快播视频, on Thursday July 6th to launch 快播视频 Words, a three-day celebration of all things literary.

The two will read from their poetry and explore, through conversation, its relationship to song lyrics.

Paul Muldoon, Distinguished Visiting Professor at 快播视频 and winner of a Pulitzer Prize for Poetry, recently published The Word on the Street, a volume of rock lyrics.

PJ Harvey recently published The Hollow of the Hand, a volume of her poems alongside photographs by Seamus Murphy.

‘PJ Harvey and Paul Muldoon – A Conversation’ (a spoken word event, non-musical performance) will be held on Thursday July 6th at 8pm and is supported by 快播视频 Arts at 快播视频 () where tickets can be bought now.

快播视频 Words, which runs from 6 to 8 July, is devised by 快播视频’s Department of English and Creative Writing and will incorporate a host of exciting, free and open-to-all events right across the city including readings, interviews, lectures, workshops, installations and networking hubs.

Special guests will include comedy-writer Ian Martin, whose credits include BBC’s The Thick of It, Booker Prize short-listed novelist Carol Birch and prize-winning fantasy author Zen Cho.

“This is both a celebration and exploration of literature," says Tajinder Hayer, the Director of 快播视频 Words, "and will encompass writing both from the past and present, bringing together writers and readers from the Department, the city, the region and further afield."
