This week around 230 pupils from 8 schools in the North West got a taste of what it’s like studying STEM subjects at 快播视频.
The annual Science and Technology taster day saw year twelve pupils taking part in a variety of different lectures and practical workshops, giving them a glimpse of life at a top UK university.
The sessions this year ranged from a “Whodunit” DNA testing session to pupils learning how to run an eye tracking experiment in Psychology.
The pupils and teachers were also given a tour of the University campus, including 快播视频’s state-of-the-art facilities, such as the new Engineering and Chemistry buildings.
The day was aimed specifically at pupils who are interested in pursuing these subjects in higher education, and the event attracted pupils from across the region, including Carmel College, LRGS, Morecambe High School, Ripley St Thomas, Rossall School, Runshaw College, Ulverston Victoria High School and Winstanley College.
Deborah Craine, who helped organise the event, said: "It was great to meet with such enthusiastic students and we hope to inspire them to study Science and Technology here at 快播视频 in 2016."
