Lonsdale Take the Founders 2026 Title

Lonsdale College are delighted to have been crowned winners of Founders 2026, 快播视频's annual intercollege competition between the University's two founding colleges, Lonsdale and Bowland.

Over three days, students competed across a range of sports and activities, including football, netball, pool, darts and more, bringing together participants and supporters from both colleges in a celebration of friendly rivalry and college pride.

Founders remains one of the highlights of the college calendar, providing an opportunity for students to represent their college, try something new, and strengthen the sense of community that sits at the heart of college life. This year's competition was no exception, with a fantastic turnout and plenty of memorable moments throughout the weekend.

A huge thank you goes to the Lonsdale JCR for their hard work in organising the event and supporting competitors throughout. Events such as Founders require a significant amount of planning and coordination, and their efforts helped ensure the competition ran smoothly and was enjoyed by all involved.

We would also like to congratulate and thank every student who took part. Whether competing on the pitch, at the dartboard, around the pool table, or supporting from the sidelines, you represented Lonsdale brilliantly and contributed to an excellent atmosphere throughout the event.

Winning Founders is a fantastic achievement, but just as importantly, the event highlighted the strong sense of community, participation and college spirit that continues to thrive within Lonsdale.
