It was handed out to audience members and also mailed to people who responded to Annette Kuhn\u2019s calls for interest in Glasgow\u2019s local media. Many of CCINTB&#8217;s Glasgow interviewees were brought to our attention in this way.<br \/>\n<a title=\"Sample one-page questionnaire sheet - opens in new tab\" href=\"https:\/\/www.lancaster.ac.uk\/fass\/projects\/cmda\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/SampleOnePageQuestionnaire_sm.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><i class=\"fas fa-file-pdf\" style=\"font-size: 16px;\"> <\/i> Sample &#8216;Popular Cinema in the 1930s&#8217; Questionnaire<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>2. &#8216;Cinema Culture in 1930s Britain&#8217; Questionnaire (CQ)<\/strong><br \/>\nThis was a single sheet questionnaire drawing on (1) and dating from 1994. Completed by individuals expressing interest in taking part in the project, it was used in making initial contact with potential informants across the four fieldwork locations.<br \/>\n<a title=\"Sample Short Questionnaire - opens in new tab\" href=\"https:\/\/www.lancaster.ac.uk\/fass\/projects\/cmda\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/DB-95-038CQ001.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <i class=\"fas fa-file-pdf\" style=\"font-size: 16px;\"> <\/i> Sample &#8216;Cinema Culture in 1930s Britain&#8217; Questionnaire<\/a><\/p>\n<p><!-- <strong>3. First Contact Form<\/strong>\nThis was a single sheet \u2018script\u2019 which Research Fellow, Valentina Bold, used when contacting volunteers for the first time over the phone. It included basic details such as name and current address, place and date of birth, age at leaving full-time education, where they lived in the 1930s, parents\u2019 and own occupations, and so on. The demographic information in these forms was drawn on principally in creating quota samples for interviews in Greater Manchester, Harrow, and East Anglia, and was also used in contacting potential respondents to the long-form questionnaire (see 3).\n<a title=\"Sample First Contact Form - opens in new tab\" href=\"https:\/\/www.lancaster.ac.uk\/fass\/projects\/cmda\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/MS-CMDA-JC-95045-PF-00002-000-00001.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <i class=\"fas fa-file-pdf\" style=\"font-size: 16px;\"> <\/i> Sample First Contact Form<\/a><a id=\"postal\" name=\"postal\"><\/a>\n--><\/p>\n<p><strong>3. Postal Questionnaire (GQ)<\/strong><br \/>\nThis seven-page questionnaire was used for postal surveys conducted in May 1995 (Deanna Durbin pictured on the cover) and December 1995 (Edward G Robinson pictured on the cover). Diagnostic Questionnaire (DQ)<\/strong><br \/>\nA slightly condensed version of (3), with Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers on the cover, used informally by Research Fellow Valentina Bold as a memory prompt for participants in group interviews.<br \/>\n<a title=\"Sample Five-Page Questionnaire - opens in new tab\" href=\"https:\/\/www.lancaster.ac.uk\/fass\/projects\/cmda\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/Sample5PageQuestionnaire_sm.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <i class=\"fas fa-file-pdf\" style=\"font-size: 16px;\"> <\/i> Sample Diagnostic Questionnaire<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>5. Tarzan Questionnaire (TQ)<\/strong><br \/>\nA repurposed version of (3) used in the year 2000 for a postal survey of CCINTB informants who had mentioned the Tarzan films in interviews and\/or in questionnaires 1 and\/or 4. Snow White Questionnaire (SQ)<\/strong><br \/>\nA questionnaire created in 2007 for a small-scale survey of men and women who saw <em>Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs<\/em> on its original UK release in 1938.
